0845 130 6232Solarshield were commissioned to install the film internally to Atrium glazing on a prestigious Building Atrium in Central London.
The Atrium was requiring various high performance characteristics, with the general view being clear, but at the flick of a switch, turning the glass obscure, which also enabled High Definition digital Projection onto the glass.
This would add colour & and an ever changing design effect, as well as Welcome information for guests to the Building.
As you can see above, the left hand image has the film applied & is switched on enabling a completely clear & unobstructed view.
Then with a flick of a switch you can see on the right hand image above, that the view becomes completely obscured, and lends itself really well to high colour Projection.
The Solarshield LCD film is a unique way to coat existing glazing, particularly if the use of the room changes and different amounts of Privacy are required.
This optical Liquid Crystal Film material is applied to glass and changes it’s visual appearance when an
electrical current is activated. A simple ON – OFF mode switches the LCD Film or Glass from being clear(transparent) to frosted (translucent), in it’ s frosted state the glass becomes a high definition rear projection screen. LCD Glass can alternatively be combined with a special reflective foil which traps a percentage of the projected light to be alternatively used as a high definition front projection screen.
