Blackout blinds give as near to total light exclusion as possible (bearing in mind that it is near impossible to achieve 100% light exclusion with a blind that can be opened). They are suitable for areas where maximum solar rejection is requred to minimise solar heat gain, as well as such situations as photographic dark rooms where high speed emulsions are exposed. Blackout blinds have totally opaque fabric and are fully enclosed in casing.
