| Glass Anchorage
/ edge retention
For ultimate protection and security, we supply and install
a Glass Anchoring & Edge Retention System. This advanced
battening system is designed to maximise the effectiveness
of existing filmed glass and frames by preventing the filmed
glazing from leaving the frame as and when it breaks.
The edge batten traps the film to the frame, reducing the
risk in highly vulnerable areas by not only containing
the glass fragments within the frame safely and securely
until
it can be replaced.
The risks associated with nickel sulphide inclusions in
toughened glass mean that a panel could spontaneously
break at any
time without warning. If this happens in overhead glazing,
roof atria, rooflights or curtain walling, the consequences
could be dire. Our Glass Anchorage System is the most
cost-effective way of preventing glass related injuries and
damage.
We have a large range of various edge retention systems
depending on glass type, installation, frame type and the
level of protection required. For a brochure on the full
range, please contact us.
